The man in the mirror
Or Who the heck am I?
The one constant in life is change. A quote from, allegedly, the Greek philosopher Heraclitus. And it's true. Change is the one thing you can rely on in art this is wonderfully visible. Once you move into consciously drawing with a purpose you start either by trying to achieve a photographic realism or by trying to draw like someone else. I grew up surrounded by illustrated books and comics and magazines so I was always looking to draw like someone else (who that someone else was changed on an almost daily basis at times). Then you start to absorb all those loves and influences and your creations reflect different bits at different points. Finally all those influences boil down and melt into one thing which is your style And your style becomes more you as time goes by.
Change is constant so whatever your art looks like now, understand that what you make next will be better.
Go make art and be okay with what it is .
